Q. What should I do when STU plugins like Convert Charset and Excel Advance III give an error saying that Encoding format is invalid?

A. CSV and Excel files are encoded with specific encoding standards such as UTF-8 or Shift_JIS. They have many variations and allowances. Because many of ARGOS plugins use a Python module that are more sensitive to these variations and allowance, sometimes they give errors while applications like Excel opens them just fine. In these cases, we recommend re-saving the files with applications like Excel explicitly with UTF-8 or other encoding standards.
