Title: Paste option in Text Input on Excel (merged cells)

Q.  I am using Text Input with the Paste option. When I try to enter data into a merged cell, I get an error message. How can I avoid this error message in Excel saying "The data you're pasting isn't the same size as your selection."?

A. Text Input with the Paste option is exactly the same as using Ctrl+V in Windows. This error message is the same error message that you receive when you "paste (Ctrl+V)" data into a merged cell in Excel manually. To avoid this situation, one solution is to use Shortcut Keys operation and perform F2 (and Ctrl+Shift+Home for making it more certain) prior to entering (pasting) the data.
