Primary Features

IBM Visual Recognition plugin sends documents and/or forms (image files such as PDF) to IBM Cloud Watson Visual Recognition engine and returns description and findings by IBM’s Watson Computer Vision as it “sees” the image.  The response will be in text format with confidence levels of each finding.

Prerequisite

Users require signing up with IBM Cloud service. User must create IBM Visual Recognition resources and obtain API Key.

How to create resources and obtain API Key from IBM Cloud – Bluemix.

  1. Visit https://cloud.ibm.com/login

  2. Click [Create Resource] on Dashboard.

3. Select your service and click (in this case Visual Recognition).

  • API key: Enter your API Key.
  • Image file: Specify your input image file
  • Score Threshold: You can filter low-confident findings
  • File Name(File needs not exist): A .txt file will be generated as Return Value. Choose File and specify the file-path with file name (xxx.txt). Give variable for the path to be stored.
